Akure, Ondo State — The management of Sunview Hotel, Akure, has dismissed trending reports suggesting that a guest went missing under suspicious circumstances within its premises.

In a statement made available to Newsmen on Monday, the hotel stressed that there was no case of kidnapping or any criminal activity recorded at its facility, contrary to circulating claims.

According to management, the guest in question had lodged at the hotel along with other participants of a workshop.

However, on the final day of the programme, while others checked out, his belongings were still in the room.

“When our staff contacted the event organizers, they informed us that the guest had left for an official assignment and requested that his luggage be removed to avoid extra charges,” the statement read.

The hotel emphasized that it operates round-the-clock surveillance systems and maintains a team of professional security personnel, adding that it has been cooperating with the family of the missing guest and relevant authorities to ascertain the facts.

“We want to reassure our esteemed guests, partners, and the public that we take safety and security very seriously.

“We urge members of the public and the media to rely on verified information from official channels and not on unfounded allegations,” the management stated.

Sunview Hotel reaffirmed its commitment to delivering world-class hospitality services in an atmosphere of safety, trust, and transparency.
