As Nigeria celebrates her 65th Independence Anniversary, His Royal Highness, High Chief Dele Omosehin, Lisa of Osooro Kingdom and convener of the Asejere Progressive Movement, has called on citizens to rally behind President Bola Tinubu’s reform agenda with prayers, patience, and patriotic commitment.

Chief Omosehin described the anniversary as a moment of sober reflection and renewed dedication to unity, peace, and development.

While acknowledging the pains that may accompany the administration’s reforms, he expressed optimism that the sacrifices would ultimately reposition the country for sustainable growth.

“Every reform has its sacrifices, but there will be light at the end of the tunnel,” he said.

“What our nation needs today is not despair but prayer, support, and the willingness of every Nigerian to contribute their quota to the progress of our country.”

The Lisa of Osooro emphasized the role of patriotism and collective responsibility in nation-building.

According to him, even the smallest acts of kindness and service at the community level can add up to transform Nigeria.

Highlighting President Tinubu’s policies, he noted the increased federal allocation to states and urged citizens to hold their governors accountable in ensuring the funds are deployed to improve the lives of ordinary people.

Beyond national politics, Chief Omosehin reaffirmed his personal commitment to grassroots empowerment.

He pointed to his ongoing initiatives, including scholarships, business support for youths, and a forthcoming skills acquisition programme in partnership with Bimbeads Concepts, aimed at training women and girls of Okitipupa and Irele Federal Constituency in jewelry-making, mentorship, and access to markets.

He also announced preparations for the BOF Unity Cup scheduled for January 4, an event designed to foster peace, unity, and talent development among young people in the region.

Offering prayers for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity, Omosehin assured that he would continue working with other leaders and institutions to ensure Okitipupa, Irele, and Ondo State remain active contributors to the nation’s progress.

“The challenges before us are many, but the opportunities are even greater. With faith in God, support for President Tinubu’s vision, and a shared commitment to progress, Nigeria will rise to its full potential,” he concluded.
