Ondo Man Dumps Wife, Newborn Twins — Commissioner Rescues Family

by Roving

A 31-year-old mother of twins, Mrs. Omojere Wemimo, was left to fend for herself and her newborn babies after her husband, Mr. Noah Joshua, allegedly absconded shortly after she gave birth in Akure.

The Oka-Akoko–born woman was plunged into despair as her 32-year-old husband from Supare-Akoko walked away, abandoning her with the enormous responsibility of caring for the infants alone.

Wemimo’s plight, marked by helplessness and uncertainty, caught the attention of the Ondo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development when the Deputy Director of Planning, Mrs. Opeyemi Omowole, reported her case.

Moved by the heartbreaking situation, the Commissioner, Dr. Seun Osamaye, swiftly intervened, rescuing the abandoned mother and pledging to empower her to become self-reliant.

“No vulnerable group will be left behind under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration. We will ensure she is supported to care for herself and the twins,” Dr. Osamaye assured.

Her intervention attracted additional support from the National President of the Female Artisan Progressive Group, Dr. Jumoke Aborode, who commended the Commissioner’s swift action and responsiveness.

Expressing gratitude, Wemimo tearfully thanked the Commissioner and other supporters for coming to her aid at her darkest moment.
