Veteran media personality and founder of Agbaletu TV Uncensored, Bamidele Adeyanju, has declared that his work goes beyond social media content creation, emphasizing his deep-rooted background in traditional broadcasting.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Adeyanju reflected on his journey, recalling how his voice was first honed behind the microphone long before the age of YouTube and digital platforms.
“Sometimes, when people call me a blogger, I just smile,” he wrote.
“Because long before YouTube and social media, I was already behind the microphone — from Radio Nigeria to Lagelu FM — telling stories, conducting interviews, and producing programmes across several radio stations in the South-West of Nigeria.”
He credited radio for shaping his sense of discipline, storytelling, and respect for truth, which he says remain the foundation of his digital work today.
According to Adeyanju, his platforms — Agbaletu TV Uncensored, Agbaletu Radiovision, and Agbaletu Lifestyle — are spaces where “real people tell real stories without bias or pretence.”
“What I do today is not gossip,” he added. “It’s journalism, culture, and truth — packaged for a new generation. The airwaves trained me, and the internet amplified me.”
Bamidele Adeyanju, fondly called The Microphone Heavyweight, reaffirmed his commitment to authentic storytelling and cultural preservation through both traditional and digital media.
