The Management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) Teaching Hospital has issued a directive mandating all existing and prospective contractors to register with the institution before conducting business.
In an official notice on Friday, the hospital stated that the decision is in line with provisions of the Public Procurement Act and aims to strengthen compliance, transparency, and fairness in its procurement processes.
According to the notice, all contractors who have previously supplied goods or rendered services to the hospital — as well as individuals or companies seeking to do business — must obtain and complete the official registration form at the office of the Chief Medical Director (CMD).
The hospital warned that failure to comply with the directive may result in the termination of ongoing engagements and disqualification from future contracts.
The Management urged interested contractors and suppliers to visit the CMD’s office during official working hours for inquiries and registration.
With this new process, FUTA Teaching Hospital says it is reinforcing its dedication to a transparent procurement system that guarantees equal opportunities for all qualified vendors.
