A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare (OGO), has applauded Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as the Governor’s renewed and unwavering commitment to strengthening security and stabilising the party structure in the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Ogundare hailed the recruitment of 500 new operatives into the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, describing the move as a bold, strategic and timely intervention aimed at addressing emerging security concerns.
According to him, the recruitment exercise goes beyond mere numerical expansion.
“This is about rebuilding public confidence in our security system and ensuring that residents can pursue their livelihoods without fear,” he said.
Ogundare also commended the Governor for the inauguration of a new set of Justices of the Peace (JPs)—the first time in almost two decades such an exercise would take place in the state.
He described the development as a strong demonstration of the administration’s commitment to justice, order, and community governance.
“Reviving the JP system after nearly twenty years is a testament to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s dedication to strengthening institutions that uphold peace, fairness and the rule of law,” he stated.
Beyond security and justice, the APC chieftain lauded the Governor’s efforts in reinforcing unity within the ruling party.
He said Aiyedatiwa’s leadership style has continued to promote cohesion and provide clear direction for the APC in the state.
“The Governor has restored a renewed sense of stability and purpose within the APC.
His inclusive and calm leadership approach has brought party members together and enhanced public trust,” Ogundare added.
He called on residents of the state to continue supporting the administration’s policies, noting that sustainable peace and stability remain critical to the state’s development aspirations.
