They lamented that despite the meager payment of N10,000 per month, set during Dr. Olusegun Mimiko’s administration, the government had refused to pay their stipends since January.

“Since January, we have not received a penny from the government. We are in the 9th month already.”

However , Aiyedatiwa had promptly approved the release of all pending payments and directed a future increase in the monthly allowances.

Speaking with the Newsmen, Mr. Salau Adeyemi, the spokesperson and secretary of the Ago-Ireti, expressed relief and gratitude.

“We sincerely thank the Governor for listening to us. We stand firmly behind him and pray for his success in the coming election. We genuinely appreciate his support,” he said.

Adeyemi also noted the community’s anticipation for the upward review of their stipends, which they hope will better address their needs amid the current economic challenges in Nigeria.
