A faction of the Ondo state Park Management Committee has raised alarm over alleged plans by the leadership of the committee, led by Jacob Adebo popularly called, Idajo to cause crisis following the death of the former governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
The faction led by Omoniyi Oni called on the Ondo state police command and the Department of State services, DSS to call the state Park management committee under the leadership of Mr Jacob Adebo to order to avert imminent crisis.
In an interview with newsmen on Thursday in Akure, the legal adviser to the Omoniyi faction, in Ondo state, Femi Adetoye said information available to them indicated that the leadership of the State Park Management Committee had perfected a plan to mobilize some hoodlums and set a certain filling station on fire to implicate members.
Mr Adetoye also urged governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to lift the proscription order on activities placed on NURTW as members of the under the leadership of Omoniyi Oni had resolved to be law abiding towards sustaining the peace in the state.
He said, “We want to bring to the notice of the Director of DSS, to the commissioner of police and the commander of Amotekun and NSCDC to take note that Adebo Idajo is still bragging, roaring like a lion that he is going to cause crisis in Ondo state.
“He said it to an extent that he is going to cause crisis that would lead to the state of emergency and we want the state commissioner of police to take note of that and the man should be cautioned.
“There was another rumour yesterday that Idajo said he was going to set his own filling station on fire and lie against Eniba that did it.
“We want to thank the commissioner of police for maintaining the peace in the state, if not Idajo would have done a lot.
Ondo state is a peaceful state and we don’t want crisis in the state.”
Reacting,the chairman of the Ondo state Park management committee, Mr Jacob Adebo denied the allegations.
Mr Adebo who pledged his loyalty to the new government, describing the allegations as the works of detractors who wanted to make him look bad to Governor Aiyedatiwa
