A group under the auspices of Owo Advancement has made a strong case for Owo local government to produce the next House of Representatives in 2027.
According to a statement signed by the coordinator of the group, Kunle Adedeji, Owo local government has been consistently loyal and has delivered block votes in previous elections. The group also highlighted that the local government area has produced several notable leaders who have contributed significantly to the development of the state.
The group hinged their decision on the fact that by 2027, Ose local government would have done two terms of 8 years, and it is now the turn of Owo local government to produce the representative. The incumbent, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe, is currently serving his second stint as a lawmaker from Ose local government.
“The people of Owo say it is now their turn to produce the representative in 2027,”
“It is a matter of fairness, equity, and justice to give Owo Local Government Area a chance to produce the representative in 2027.”, Adedeji posited
The group urged party leaderships across political divides and stakeholders to consider the sentiments of the people and ensure that Owo Local Government Area produces the next representative to the House of Representatives in 2027.
