A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart in Ondo State and indigene of Akure, Mr. Femi Meshe, has warmly welcomed the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to Akure South Local Government Area as part of his ongoing statewide thank-you tour.
Meshe described Governor Aiyedatiwa as an indefatigable, focused and people-oriented leader whose administration has continued to deliver impactful and people-centred development, particularly in Akure South, the state capital and political heartbeat of Ondo State.
He noted that since assuming office, the Governor has demonstrated uncommon commitment to infrastructural renewal in Akure, with several strategic road projects either completed or currently receiving serious attention.
According to him, the rehabilitation of major township roads, including Odopetu Road, the Iloro–Owe Akala axis, and the Alafiatayo–Odole–Odi-Olowo Road, has significantly eased traffic congestion and improved the daily lives of residents.
Meshe also commended the Governor for the completion of the Oda Road project, describing it as a critical and strategic link that has opened up communities, enhanced mobility and boosted economic activities within Akure South Local Government Area.
He further highlighted ongoing construction works along the Ijoka Road corridor as well as the Akure–Idanre Road dualisation project, noting that when completed, they will further enhance connectivity, improve safety and accelerate urban development in the state capital.
Hailing Governor Aiyedatiwa’s inclusive and humble leadership style, Meshe said the thank-you tour underscores the Governor’s appreciation of the overwhelming support he has consistently enjoyed from the people of Akure and members of the APC.
He therefore called on residents of Akure South, including youths, market women, artisans, community leaders and party faithful, to turn out en masse to give the Governor a rousing and memorable welcome.
“This is a Governor who has kept faith with Akure. The visible projects around us speak volumes. The people should come out in their numbers to celebrate and appreciate an administration that is genuinely working for them,” Meshe said.
He reaffirmed the unwavering loyalty and support of Akure South residents to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, expressing confidence that the Governor will continue to deliver sustainable development, peace and prosperity for Akure and Ondo State at large.
