The 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Reunion of the Federal Government College (FGC) Idoani Alumni Association ended on a colourful note in Ibadan, with the Akure Mega Chapter recording remarkable achievements both on and off the field.

Hosted by the Bliss Chapter, the event featured the keenly contested Alumilympics Games, where the Akure contingent excelled with a display of resilience, teamwork, and sporting brilliance.

In the athletics category, Akinduro Elisha sprinted to victory to claim Gold in the 100 metres male race. The women’s events also produced champions from the chapter, with Ajulo Grace taking Gold in the sack race, while Leramo Oluwadunsin secured Bronze in the same contest and later powered home to win Gold in the 100 metres female race.

The chapter’s football squad, comprising Orogbemi Oluwaseun, Akindele Taiwo, and Koledoye Isiah, thrilled the crowd with a spirited outing that earned them Silver.

In board games, Gbenga Sile proved unbeatable in chess to clinch Gold, while Abu Latifat outclassed rivals to win Gold in ludo.

These performances helped position FGC Idoani Alumni Association as the Overall Winner of the 2025 Alumilympics.

The evening session was equally rewarding for the Akure Chapter as its President, Comrade Dr. Gideon O. Bakare, was named Most Outstanding Alumnus of the Year (Male)—a recognition of his leadership and commitment to the ideals of the association.

Beyond the medals and honours, the Ibadan reunion further deepened bonds of friendship and alumni brotherhood, with Akure Mega Chapter shining brightly as a symbol of vibrance and excellence within the FGC Idoani family.
