BTO Redefining Leadership in Nigeria — Otunba Kelly

by Roving

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State and Coordinator of the Ondo Elders’ Movement for Tinubu 2027, Otunba Agboola Kelly, has lauded the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), describing him as “the architect of a new leadership order quietly reshaping Nigeria’s political landscape.”

Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting in Akure at the weekend, Kelly said Tunji-Ojo has gone beyond managing a ministry to “reconstructing the very essence of leadership” through intellect, youthful energy, and an unwavering commitment to results.

“BTO has shown that leadership is not about age or noise; it is about vision, velocity, and value delivery. In less than two years, he has transformed the Ministry of Interior from a dormant bureaucracy into a hub of innovation,” he said.

The APC stalwart highlighted some of BTO’s landmark achievements — including the revolutionary passport automation system that reduced processing time from months to days, the ongoing prison decongestion initiative freeing thousands of awaiting-trial inmates, the deployment of cutting-edge border technology, and the effective coordination of paramilitary agencies and fire services during national emergencies.

“While others talk, BTO delivers. While others posture, he performs. That is why Ondo State is proud to present him as our brightest political export and the strongest pillar of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” Kelly declared.

He further disclosed that BTO’s quiet but strategic mobilisation has revitalised APC structures across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State, attracting young professionals, women, and first-time voters who now see the party as a vehicle for genuine transformation.

“Mark my words — by 2027, the BTO template, which is merit-driven, people-centred, and performance-obsessed, will be the benchmark for every serious political actor in Nigeria,” Kelly said.

He urged party faithful to unite behind the minister, describing him as “a rare gem, battle-tested and future-ready.”

“Ondo has produced many sons, but none quite like Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. He is reconstructing leadership — one bold step at a time,”* Kelly concluded.
