The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State in November this year, Agboola Ajayi has again re-emphasized that politics should not be seen as a do-or-die affair.
The former deputy governor and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on the Niger-Delta stated this during a “Thank-God” visit to the representative of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, Honourable Donald Ojogo at his residence in Abuja.
The Lawmaker had successfully undergone a spine surgery and has since resumed his legislative duties.
Agboola Ajayi said though they don’t belong to same political party, all political stakeholders must be their brother’s keepers.
He reflected on the fact that Donald Ojogo, deputy Chief of Staff with primary assignment in his office as deputy governor during late governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s administration, emphasized that politicians should always display spirit of sportsmanship.
“Honourable Donald Ojogo who also served as Commissioner for Information is my brother and will remain one irrespective of our different political backgrounds”.
“I think all politicians should ensure that political differences are put behind them as a way to encourage upcoming leaders,” the PDP governorship candidate added.
In his reaction, the representative of Ilaje/Ese-Odo federal constituency, Donald Ojogo who received the governorship candidate alongside his wife thanked the former deputy governor for the visit.
He said he has since resumed legislative duties focused on improving the lives of his people.
