In a remarkable recognition of selfless service and community impact, Dr. (Icon) Olugbenga Obagbemi, the CEO of De Emeralds Choir, Akure, has been officially nominated for the Community Service Award by Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, the Deji of Akure Kingdom.

The award is part of the activities lined up to mark the 10th Coronation Anniversary of the revered monarch, who ascended the throne of his ancestors in July 2015.

The grand finale of the celebration, where the award will be formally presented, is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the MKO Democracy Park, Akure.

According to the official letter from the Deji’s Palace, the nomination is in recognition of Dr. Obagbemi’s outstanding contributions to community development, youth empowerment, and cultural preservation through music, leadership, and social impact.
