On Friday, September 19, 2025, Mrs. Olufunke Aruna kicked off her birthday celebration with an intimate and private evening soiree at BON Hotels, attended by friends, family, close associates, and some of her political leaders.
It was indeed a relaxed atmosphere filled with glamour, glitz, fun, good food, and good music.
Many of her friends, family members, and political leaders came to honour the woman described by many as “beautiful inside and outside,” loving, kind-hearted, and a dedicated, loyal member of the APC in Ondo State.
The occasion drew notable figures including Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde (Abena), Executive Director, Corporate Services, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Asiwaju of Akure Kingdom; Hon. Akinlayo Kolawole (Omoakin), Member, House of Representatives; Hon. Femi Adekanmbi, MD/CEO, Benin-Owena River Basin Authority; Hon. Sunday Olajide, Commissioner for Urban and Regional Development; Dr. Victor Ategbole, Chairman, Ondo State Hospital Management Board; Hon. Omowumi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole, former Commissioner for Women Affairs;

The celebration continued on Sunday, 21st September, with a thanksgiving service at the Chapel of Grace, Government House, Alagbaka.
The Governor of Ondo State and his wife, the Secretary to the State Government, the Attorney-General, party leaders, and members of Progressive Lucky Women of Owo—an organisation she founded—were in attendance, alongside well-wishers from different walks of life.
The two-day celebration, both elegant and spiritual, stood as a testament to her amiable personality, her commitment to service, and her contributions to the APC and Ondo State.
