Royal Upgrade as Ondo Monarch Unboxes Brand-New Wife at New Yam Festival

by Roving

The New Yam Festival in Isinkan this year wasn’t just about tubers, it was about titles—and a royal one at that.

The Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin-Adimula, spiced up the age-old harvest celebration by presenting one of his new queens, Olori Temilade, to the cheering crowd.

It was glamour meets agriculture as cultural dances, cheers, and royal fanfare mixed with the aroma of freshly roasted yam.

Forget red carpets—this was a yam-carpet moment.

Olori Temilade isn’t just beauty draped in beads; she’s a powerhouse of brains and ambition.

From St. Williams Primary School, Okitipupa, to Babcock University for a degree in International Law and Diplomacy, then a Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies at UI, and even Criminology at OAU—she practically collected degrees like some people collect souvenirs.

By day, she conquers the world of insurance as Branch Manager of SanlamAllianz General Insurance in Akure.

By night, she now reigns as queen in one of Ondo’s most respected palaces. Talk about multitasking!

Festival goers agreed: the 2025 New Yam Festival was not just about the first bite of yam but the first glimpse of a new queen.

With her elegance, Olori Temilade is expected to bring both fresh energy and a sprinkle of corporate efficiency to palace life. Who knows? Maybe yam insurance could be the next big thing.
