As the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for its forthcoming state congress, a chieftain of the party and chairmanship aspirant, Hon. Ganny Dauda, has declared his readiness to provide leadership aimed at uniting and strengthening the party across the state.
Hon. Dauda said his aspiration is driven by a commitment to people-centred politics, party unity and the consolidation of the gains already recorded by the APC in Ondo State.
He noted that the time has come for purposeful leadership that will reposition the party for greater cohesion, growth and electoral success.
Speaking on his vision, the APC stalwart reaffirmed his loyalty to the party and pledged to work closely with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, stressing that synergy between party leadership and government is critical for stability and development.
“I am committed to synergising with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to foster unity and cohesion within our party, while collectively driving growth and development in Ondo State,” Hon. Dauda said.
He highlighted grassroots mobilisation as a key strength he intends to deploy if elected, noting that reconnecting the party with its base would help deepen trust and participation among members at all levels.
According to him, an inclusive approach that carries stakeholders along is essential for sustaining the APC’s dominance in the state.
Hon. Dauda also outlined core areas of focus under his proposed leadership to include fostering unity within the party, strengthening grassroots engagement, promoting economic development initiatives, and introducing innovative strategies to modernise party administration and outreach.
Party observers say his emergence in the race has injected fresh energy into the congress process, with supporters describing him as a progressive leader capable of repositioning the APC for future electoral contests.
As the state congress draws nearer, expectations remain high that the exercise will produce leadership capable of uniting the party and steering it towards a stronger and more prosperous future in Ondo State.
